Check "Unattended operation" and click "Continue". If you have been logged out, try logging in as Admin without a Password. your browser will likely keep you logged in as Admin, so you should try to go to the Admin's profile, set a password and add another admin user.

If you could provide a bit additional detail as to what the screen looked like after you completed the install and whether it is still open to the same place and whether you changed the Admin password I will try to help. In the past I have not used the e-mail link, as the install dumps you into moodle as admin, and if you just wait a moment or two you can just edit the admin profile since you are effectively logged in as Admin. where did the error take place when you clicked the e-mail link or in your moodle when you went to save the changes in Admin password? What exactly did the error message state? It would be helpful if you provided a bit more detail.

As I understand it, this is the e-mail with the link that you clicked. When you are done with the install you should get an e-mail like the one appended below, which is where you set you admin password and can create additional users. However, if this was the issue you should not have had a successful install. I just did that last week and it went off without a hitch. Dreamhost does not delete databases for some days, so if you truly just dropped the tables and were trying to reinstall as against an empty database there should have been no problem. one of them being whether you indeed dropped tables as opposed to trying to delete the database. There are a number of things you could be running into. Your username/password have nothing to do with yur moodle database username and password, nor with a password for your Moodle setup. Sounds like apples and oranges a bit to me.
